REVELATION APRIL FIFTEENTH

AS TO THE QUESTION WHY SATAN DOESN'T GIVE UP WHEN HE KNOWS GOD WINS IN THE END, IT OCCURRED TO ME THAT HELL IS ETERNAL. HE WILL STILL HAVE HIS KINGDOM AND BE TORTURING ALL THOSE WHO ARE THERE. MY MIND WORKS VERY SLOWLY, BUT THIS SEEMS TO MAKE SENSE. ALSO I MUST APOLOGIZE FOR YET ANOTHER CASE OF "THE BLURTS" AND HOPE I DID NOT HURT ANYONE'S FEELINGS. I HAVE A TENDENCY TO BLURT WHICH IS NOT VERY GENTLE AT TIMES, AND FOR THIS I AM SORRY. THIS IS SOMETHING I NEED TO WORK ON.
I PROMISE TO LEASH MYSELF NEXT WEEK......

Hi Marti,
Your mind and mine seem to work in very similar ways. "What's he talking about??...Oh, that thing we were talking about LAST YEAR?" *Grin*
While the devil will continue to exist after time ends and he is forever chained, and while the people in hell will certainly be tortured in added measure simply by virtue of having him around, it should be noted that Satan will not go unpunished himself. Presumably his punishment, like ours, will be commensurate with the amount of evil he does while he is still free to do so. If he were to stop now and cause no more problems for any of us, his penalty would be less than what it will be because he is not going to stop until God makes him.
There is no better theologian in the universe than Lucifer. Having been the highest of all the angels before his fall, he probably knows more ABOUT God than any other being that exists. He certainly knows how the Good Book ends, and yet he persists in his stupidity. Why? Why won't he stop? I think you were the one that touched on it most closely at Bible study - his pride (and perverse nature in general). Sin is a very, very deceptive and corruptive force. If we who know what is right and wrong in our minds find ourselves struggling at times to do what is right, how much more would someone like Satan "struggle" with ever completing any sort of selfless act at all?
St. Michael the archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray. And do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host (armies), by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits that prowl around the world, seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

HE IS THE PRINCE OF LIES. THE FIRST WIN FOR SATAN IS TO DENY HIS EXISTENCE.
HAVE YOU READ THE SCREWTAPE LETTERS BY C.S. LEWIS?
I DID NOT KNOW THAT IN THE END HE WAS GOING TO BE PUNISHED ALONG WITH THOSE IN HELL. I THOUGHT HE WOULD BE HAPILY RUNNING THE PLACE.
